3 Tips on finding the perfect Birthday outfit

Correct me if I’m wrong, but deciding what to wear for your birthday is more than kind of a big deal.

As my birthday approached I had everything else planned out when it came down to my blog and the vision I wanted to produce, but I still had not clue what I wanted to wear.  If you did not know I am here to tell you that birthday outfits are no joke–especially when you are officially saying bye bye to your 20’s and hello to your 30’s!

Here are three tips to finding the perfect outfit.  Also, this gives you a great excuse to go shopping.  You deserve to treat yourself to a new outfit…at least that was my personal thought.

1. Budget

There’s no need to spend a lot of money–unless you simply got it to spend.  Set aside a reasonable budget that will not break your bank, hey you still have to live after this day is over.  LOL

2. Be Yourself

Plan before you Purchase

With so much fast fashion constantly trending it’s easy to get caught in the waves of the sea.  Personally, I like to start with Pinterest.  Plan before you purchase.  Pinterest is mother of discovering fashion, home ideas, style inspiration and other ideas to try.  Create a board specific to what you would like to wear and use this as your guide to picking the perfect outfit.  The more comfortable you are, the more confidence you will be.  The perfect equation for gorgeous  pictures.

3. Have Fun

Birthdays can be stressful, especially when it comes to planning a detailed schedule for the special day.  Try not to stress, but yet have fun planning and preparing for your big day.   I do not want you bringing in your birthday this year in tears–this day should be one of the greatest days of every year!  

Surround yourself with positive friends who are willing to work to make you feel good on your birthday, but are also honest.  If that dress is too tight, they will tell you “Uh huh girl, you need to take that off.”  If the store tells you they have the shoe, but it is one size smaller than the shoe size you usually wear, yet you try it on anyway.  They need be able to say “Uh huh girl, all your toes are hanging off the front of that shoe.  Take it off.”  #friendgoals.

Surround yourself with positive friends who are willing to work to make you feel good on your birthday, but are also honest.

If you really want to set the tone on this day–simply make sure you are spending it with those important to you.
