Flipping my phone up, making it visible for her to see, I reiterated “Yasss B!” In agreement she nodded her head and said “Oh yes, I saw that.” Though this was not Beyonce’s first cover for Vogue Magazine, her fourth since 2009 if anyone’s counting, this cover revealed a level of vulnerability, power, raw beauty, simplicity, but yet editorial detail, that I found empowering and groundbreaking.
I live for beautiful photography in combination with high fashion. Twenty-Three-year-old Tyler Mitchell, a rising young black photographer from Atlanta, was hand-selected by the star to capture the visual art. What a job well done Tyler!
