One unbelievable fact new business owners need to hear that’s 100% true is there is room for you at the table of success. No matter how many people you have seen making t-shirts, blogging, podcasting, selling the same product, or hosting conferences, there is still room for you.
Have you ever glanced at the statistics of American Express 2019 State of Women-Owned Businesses report? If not, I am not here to judge, because I just saw it for the first time a few weeks ago. They post information with the “hopes of motivating the key players in the entrepreneurial ecosystem to reflect on what is working and what is not and to make adjustments to their plans to accelerate the growth of women entrepreneurs.” Goal Accomplished! Several women-owned businesses are making their mark per day in our world today. “Per Day!” Co-Heir.
The difficulty in taking the first step.
So why is it so hard to make a move at times? Our Social News Feeds would have us to believe that everyone has been there and done that. It would seem as if there’s no room left for us to get a piece of the pie. Psst, the devil is a liar, and the truth is not in him. There is room, and there is a seat at the table with your name on it. You do not have to fight for as though it were the last second in a game of musical chairs with one chair left.
What’s for you is for you.
That should give you relief to know that what God has for you is for you. Maybe that’s too cliche’ for you. If you don’t believe me read Proverbs 3:5-6. It says, “Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths.” In other words, when you acknowledge God in your business, your side hustle, your mundane daily tasks, on your one-on-one meetings, during your travels, and even in your decision-making process, he will give you strength and wisdom to prosper.
Don’t be that person who watches from the sideline while everyone else lives their dream. Even if you don’t know where to start, start. Eventually, you will find your way.
